  1. Beautiful and sad. I grew up in Detroit when it was an elegant and vibrant city. After the Detroit riots, many white people left the inner city for the suburbs, and the city began to die. Detroit had beautiful buildings, clothing shops, libraries, museums and galleries, great food, an excellent school in the inner city – Cass Tech – and most performers, musicians, dancers, of the 40s, 50s, 60, 70s came through. Thank you for showing these once loved, now empty houses.

  2. Vraiment très prenante ces photos, que ce soit celle des maisons comme celles des deux autres photographes. C’est étonnant. J’imagine les histoires de ces lieux, ça emmène loin.
